Today we're celebrating #CanadianAgDay right at the heart of it all. The impact Agriculture has on our economy cannot be overstated – it’s a key driver of our finance and insurance sectors, supports a $3.2 billion manufacturing industry, and is increasingly pivotal in the emerging renewable energy sector. Agriculture is not just a critical sector in it's own right, but an essential piece to every other industry. Employing 2,700 workers, home to 256 firms, and contributing 336 million to our GDP, agriculture is not just the foundation to our economy, but a gateway to growing economic opportunities.

Surrounded by 80 million acres of Canada's cropland and home to world-leading agribusiness and food companies, Regina has become a major hub for agriculture production and innovation. Learn more here: economicdevelopmentregina.com/sectors/agriculture/
